Meredith Launches Product Innovation Arm
In the US, media conglomerate Meredith Corporation is launching a new business unit focused on innovation and consumer product development.
The group reaches more than 175 million American consumers every month with magazine titles and platforms covering entertainment, food, lifestyle, parenting and home. Brands include PEOPLE, Better Homes & Gardens, InStyle, Allrecipes, REAL SIMPLE, Southern Living and Martha Stewart Living.
The new Meredith Innovation Group includes three distinct branded services. The Product Studio brings together the company's first-party data and insights, editorial and creative expertise to help design and develop direct-to-consumer products. The Voice Network captures audiences across the group's 50 or more web sites, social media and podcast platforms, as well as voice assistants such as Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. Smart Codes allows readers to use their smartphones to scan magazine pages across the group's portfolio, while generating audience ad performance and attribution data for advertisers.
