Ipsos Hires Former YouGov MD as Egypt Country Manager

Ipsos has appointed former YouGov Egypt MD Yasser Omar as Country Manager, based in the firm's new offices in Cairo.

Omar (pictured) joins with more than 30 years' global research experience across the FMCG sector, with a focus on customer insights, business strategy, brand building and innovation. Most recently, he was General Manager (Egypt) at Feedback Market Research, prior to which he worked for YouGov as Egypt MD and MENA Qualitative Head. He began his career at Nielsen, before moving to Unilever, and in 1994 joined PepsiCo where he worked for nearly eighteen years. Initially, he served as PepsiCo's Research Director for the MENA region and Pakistan, before relocating to the US as Strategy & Insights Director - Beverages - International Markets, and being promoted to MD for Pepsi-Lipton Partnership in AMEA, based in the UAE.

In a statement, Ipsos said that in his new role, Yasser will be leading the business throughout the country and playing a key role in driving the company's growth goals.
