New Lead Statistician for Westat
US research provider Westat has appointed Jeri Mulrow as Vice President and Director of Statistical Sciences, leading more than 80 statisticians. She replaces David Morganstein who is retiring from the role after 35 years.
The firm, which focuses on research in the fields of health, education, social policy and transportation, says Morganstein has significantly enhanced its statistical strengths and reputation.
Mulrow brings more than thirty years of experience as an applied mathematical statistician working in government, industry and academia, most recently as Principal Deputy Director for the Bureau of Justice Statistics in the U.S. Department of Justice. Previously, she was the Deputy Division Director for the National Center for Science and Engineering Statistics at the National Science Foundation. In recent years she has served on the Board and as the Vice President of the American Statistical Association.
Company President Scott Royal comments: 'We welcome Jeri to Westat and look forward to her contribution to our dynamic statistical science and methods research team'.
