New Full Service Agency Periscope Up and Running in LA
Former Kelton Global exec Amy Snow is launching a full-service research and strategy agency called Periscope, based in Los Angeles, California.
Snow (pictured) most recently served as VP of Research & Insights at healthy brands holding business The Wonderful Company, before which she was a Partner at Kelton Global and Big Ideas Team Leader at consumer-centric insights specialist Hypothesis Group. Earlier, she held director-level positions at Bellomy Research and TNS.
The new company's approach is rooted in traditional research, while incorporating principles from design, journalism, management consulting and the psychology of consumer behavior. It will offer multi-method approaches including both primary and secondary research, qual and quant techniques such as multivariate analyses, and semiotics and cultural insights.
Commenting on the launch, Snow said: 'We focus on helping iconic brands resonate even in rapidly-changing landscapes and in the face of constant paradigm shifts. The research industry became more focused on scalability and automation, and forced talent into either qualitative or quantitative career paths. The management consulting world provides operational and supply-side insights but not the demand-side consumer lens. We think the space in the middle is where the magic happens.
