BAMM Hires Insight and Strategy Leader in New York
Consumer insight agency BAMM has appointed former Mindshare exec Mark Potts as Chief Strategy Officer, leading the development of insight and strategy across the company and the growth of its US team. He is based in the firm's NYC office.
BAMM uses photography and video to bring communication strategy, research and brand issues to life, working with multinational clients across a range of industries. Its more than twenty staff based in London and New York include researchers, photo journalists, documentary film-makers, ethnographers, digital listeners, semioticians and social content creators.
Potts joins after thirteen years at WPP media agency network Mindshare, where in his final position as Executive Director, Business Planning and Insights he built out the agency's Consumer Insights, Data Science, and Business Strategy teams. He began his career as a Senior Consultant at The Henley Centre (now Kantar Consulting), where he was responsible for selling and running consultancy projects that included consumer research, econometric modeling and futures techniques.
In his new position, Potts will develop a Data Science practice to complement BAMM's existing ethnographic, behavioral science and creative teams. Global CEO Anthony Martin comments: 'Mark joins at a fantastic time for BAMM. Following our successful US launch, and the continuing growth of our global capabilities, Mark will help us develop new, and more creative ways to get under the skin of consumer culture to help deliver momentum for our clients' brands'.
