New Leader for Rakuten Insight
In Tokyo, online research firm Rakuten Insight Global has appointed Takahiro 'Tack' Yamaya as company President, replacing Hidefumi Watanabe who is being promoted to a broader director role within the Rakuten Group.
 Rakuten Insight Global was formed last year when eCommerce and data group Rakuten merged its two online research companies, Rakuten Research and AIP Corporation, under a single brand. Watanabe, who is the founder of AIP, will combine the new group position with an advisory role at Rakuten Insight.
Yamaya joined the firm in 2015 as Executive Director of AIP, before moving to Rakuten Insights Global in 2017.
