Relish Hires for New Head of Innovation and Strategy Role
In the UK, full service agency Relish has hired Toby Matthewson for its newly created role of Head of Innovation and Strategy, working from the firm's office in London.
Hammersmith-based Relish, which also has an office in Leeds, focuses on helping brands become more customer-centric using qualitative and quantitative insight. Matthewson (pictured) joins with more than twenty years' insight, innovation, brand and management consultancy experience. Most recently, he worked as a Director at brand agency Bloom, prior to which, he was one of the founding Partners of insight consultancies Truth. He began his career as an RE at GfK, before moving client-side in senior research roles at Unilever, L'Oreal and Cadbury. He also worked at the Boston Consulting Group.
In his new role, Matthewson is tasked with building the agency's innovation, strategy and consultancy offerings, enhancing its international presence, and developing new creative and technology partnerships. Commenting on the appointment, MD Simon Thompson comments: 'Toby brings a wealth of experience and initiatives for us to evolve and extend our proposition. Insight is still at the core of what we do, but the role of agencies like ours is changing, which is being reflected in the increasing number of innovation and strategy projects we are involved with on an international scale.'
