College Pulse Gets Funds for Student Platform
In the US, College Pulse has raised $1.5m in a seed round of funding, as it launches a real-time analytics platform to track and predict the opinions, interests and buying behaviour of US college students.
Co-founded by Terren Klein and Robin Jayaswal in 2016, College Pulse offers custom data-driven marketing and research solutions via an Undergraduate Student Panel including 250,000 respondents from more than 200 four-year colleges and universities in all 50 states. The new solution can be used to poll responses from this panel, which is hosted on the firm's proprietary mobile platform.
Klein comments: 'Most leading brands don't fully understand college students as effectively as they could. Our vision is to provide the most reliable, up-to-date insights into what college students think about brands, hiring, purchasing and social opinions'.
College Pulse's fundraising seed includes investors Madrona Venture Group, Norwest Venture Partners and GSV Accelerate, and angels including Y Combinator founder, Paul Graham.
