AskNicely Raises $10m and Relocates from NZ to US
Customer experience platform AskNicely has raised $10m in a Series A round of funding, as it shifts its HQ from New Zealand to the US.
Founded in 2014 by Aaron Ward and John Ballinger, AskNicely is now headquartered in Portland, Oregon, while retaining its operations in Auckland, New Zealand. It employs around 50 staff. The firm's Conversations platform has been designed to provide customer feedback, motivate staff to deliver better customer experiences and drive customer advocacy. Conversations supports customer experience metrics such as Net Promoter Score (NPS), customer satisfaction (CSAT) and Customer Effort Score (CES), and integrates with more than 40 different platforms including Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Intercom, Zendesk and Hubspot.
New funding was led by Nexus Venture Partners, with participation from existing investors Blackbird Ventures and K1W1. Ward comments: 'This funding reflects the accelerating shift in the way modern businesses approach customer experience. No one blinks an eye at investing in technology to drive marketing and sales, yet many companies are flying blind when it comes to managing the customer experience. It won't be long before we look back and shake our heads at how we used to operate businesses without customer experience software'.
