Strong First Quarter Revenue for Ipsos
Ipsos has reported organic growth of 2.4% for the first quarter of 2019, which coupled with acquisitions including Synthesio and parts of GfK drove reported revenue up an impressive 15.0% to EUR 422.1m.
The result represents a return to form after organic growth of 0%, 0% and 1% in the previous three quarters. Organic growth was nearly ten percent in Asia Pacific, and less than 1 percent in each of EMEA and the Americas, but within the latter there were strong performances for the US, the UK and France. China, Turkey, Russia and India were among the best performers elsewhere.
The company has new names for its business units, but 'Citizens' - including polling and policy advice - continues to lead the charge with organic growth of 5.5%. The largest division, Consumers, also performed very well with organic growth of 2.1% and revenue of EUR 247.5m.
Ipsos released 'Sales' figures and at time of going to press DRNO has not seen profit and loss summaries for the quarter - we'll update the article with these when we get them.
