Neuro-Insight Promotes for UK CEO Role
Neuromarketing and analytics company Neuro-Insight has promoted Shazia Ginai to the role of UK Chief Executive Officer, replacing Heather Andrew who will continue to serve on the Group Board as a Non-Executive Director. Ginai takes up her new position on 1st June.
Neuro-Insight uses patented imaging technology to measure second by second how the brain responds to communications, and claims to be the only company in the world licensed to use it. As well as its base in London, the company has offices in New York and Melbourne.
Ginai (pictured) joined two years ago as Head of New Business, having previously worked at hairstyling product company ghd, latterly as Global Head of Insights; and spent the prior seven years at Procter & Gamble in consumer research and brand franchise innovation roles. She will take over from Andrew, who has led Neuro-Insight's UK business since it was established in 2010. Andrew began her career as a Brand Manager at Nestlé, before becoming Marketing Director at The Original Cookie Company; a Marketing Consultant at Price Waterhouse Management Consultants; and Marketing Director at The Family Channel.
Commenting on the move, Andrew said: 'Raising awareness of the benefits that neuro-marketing can bring to brands' communication strategies is something I am deeply passionate about, as evidenced by my decision to remain at Neuro-Insight as Non-Executive Director. But after nine years with the business, I'm also excited about the thought of a new challenge. Having witnessed Shazia's passion and commitment to the cause first-hand over her two-year tenure, I am fully confident she has the drive and understanding to take the business from strength to strength as UK CEO'.
Separately, Mev Bertrand and Holly Jordon have been promoted to the roles of Head of Creative Research and Head of Media Effectiveness, respectively; and in April the company named former WPP Group CEO of Specialist Communications John Zweig as Global CEO.
