Acquisition for CX Firm Hero Digital
Californian CX agency Hero Digital has acquired Austin, Texas-based B2B marketing services agency Bulldog Solutions, for an undisclosed sum.
Hero Digital works with the likes of Salesforce, Comcast and Microsoft to help client CMOs engage their customers through a blend of consulting, design, engineering, digital marketing, and data / analytics - last year it acquired analytics and data visualization consultancy MaassMedia. CX firm Bulldog describes itself as an 'unconventional' b2b channel marketing advisor and works for the likes of Oracle and Symantec. It will now be combined with Hero's broader customer experience practice to centralize B2B marketing services in Austin.
Bulldog's executive team will stay in place, with CEO Randy Watson becoming General Manager of the Austin office, reporting to Hero Digital CEO, David Kilimnik (pictured); and Bulldog founder Rob Solomon stepping into the role of Hero's SVP, Strategy. Watson says the merger creates 'an unparalleled end-to-end B2B customer experience solution for clients that integrates CX consulting, design, engineering, digital marketing and data'.
Hero Digital CEO David Kilimnik comments: 'As B2B CMOs navigate a highly deliberate purchasing decision, they will need a partner with B2B experience, specificity, and depth. B2B CMOs feel a sense of urgency to get the customer experience right and need a trusted partner that bridges business, design, and technology'.
The buy was supported by private equity investment firm CI Capital.
