New Funds for Q&A App Zhihu
In China, question and answer platform Zhihu has raised $434m in a Series F round of investment funding, and says it will be used to add more than 100 million Q&A posts to its main app.
 Zhihu, whose name means 'Do you know..?', allows users to post and answer text-based questions, while offering features such as discussion forums, a publishing platform and live videos through which brands and companies can answer questions in real time. Chinese-language Internet users employ Zhihu for knowledge and insights on various topics, and as of January the platform had more than 200 million registered users.
New funding was led by live-streaming platform Kuaishou, with participation from new investor Baidu and existing backers Tencent Holdings and Capital Today. Funds will be used for technology and product development.
