CRIC Launches Seal for Accredited Members
Canada's new research industry body CRIC has launched its Accredited Agency Seal, to recognize agency members who have made the 'highest commitment' to following best practices and adherence to global standards and ethics in market research, analytics and insights.
CRIC (The Canadian Research Insights Council) was set up last year, after Canada's MRIA (the Marketing Research and Intelligence Association) was formally wound down as a result of a 'shortfall' in its finances. MRIA has since re-opened, but CRIC says that it will continue to promote and advocate for the industry.
Use of its new Accredited Agency Seal requires firms to undergo an independent review of key practices, with a focus on collection, use and storage of data. Firms applying to join CRIC as an accredited agency will be permitted to use the seal after completing the accreditation process which will be launched later this year. Accredited agencies are encouraged to display the seal on their firm's web site, and in marketing materials, proposals and reports.
