Mavrck Buys Influencer ID Platform GroupHigh
In the US, Boston-based influencer marketing platform Mavrck has acquired GroupHigh, which is used to identify bloggers and social media profiles, and manage the outreach marketing process. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Boulder, Colorado-based GroupHigh, which was founded in 2012 by Bill Brennan and Andy Theimer, offers a platform through which marketing teams can build, evaluate and manage influencer marketing relationships. The firm indexes blogs in 25 languages, with each post enhanced with blog-meta data on the influence and quality of the content.
Mavrck says the buy expands its own Influencer Search and blogger data set, to help markets connect with influencers at scale. The acquired firm will retain its name, becoming 'GroupHigh, a Mavrck Company'. Brennan and CTO David Pinto will join Mavrck as COO and CTO of GroupHigh, respectively, reporting to Mavrck CEO Lyle Stevens.
Commenting on the news, Mavrck co-founder and Chief Influencer Officer Sean Naegeli (pictured) said: 'GroupHigh has built relationships with an impressive cohort of more than nine million bloggers, which is differentiated and complementary to our Influencer Index of social media creators and micro-influencers. Together we offer the most comprehensive access available on either side of the influencer equation for brands and agencies to build their own, proprietary influencer networks'.
