MediaMath Hires Former Nielsen Man as President
In New York, ad personalization specialist MediaMath has hired former Nielsen exec Konrad Gerszke as President, leading all its day-to-day operations.
MediaMath uses machine learning tools which give marketers real-time access to first, second and third-party cross-media activity data. In June, the company launched a solution which targets video campaigns based on viewer context, reaching audiences who are watching correlated and relevant programming.
Gerszke (pictured) joins after eight years at Nielsen, most recently as Group President, Lead Markets, with P&L oversight of the company's largest CPG division. Prior to this he spent thirteen years at McKinsey, latterly as a Partner, responsible for establishing and growing client relationships and managing multiple consulting teams.
In his new role, Gerszke will be responsible for all corporate functions, including commercial, services, product development, data science, engineering, operations, people, finance and legal. He reports to Chairman and CEO Joe Zawadzki, who comments: 'We're really fortunate to gain a leader with Konrad's scaled, practical and proven operational expertise as well as his ability to affect change at a global scale. As we accelerate the work we've begun towards the creation of an accountable and addressable supply chain, I am confident Konrad is the right leader to help us move MediaMath into its next phase of growth'.
