Kantar and Pulse Labs in Voice App Analysis Deal
In the US, Kantar has partnered with voice app testing platform Pulse Labs, to understand the motivation behind consumers' usage of voice assistant technology.
Pulse Labs, which was supported by the Alexa Accelerator start-up program, provides an opt-in panel of users of voice activated assistants to generate user experience feedback, allowing developers and designers to test their products on any target demographic.
The new partnership brings together Kantar's research and analytics capabilities with Pulse Labs' voice behavioral data, to help clients understand the 'what' and 'why' behind smart speaker usage.
Pulse Labs co-founder and CEO Abhishek Suthan says the deal will enable insights into usage that can ensure voice-activated assistants continue to evolve into the tools that consumers want. Nick Nyhan, Chief Digital Officer at Kantar, adds: 'Our partnership with Pulse Labs will enable us to answer important timely questions on not just what consumers are doing on the platforms, but also why or why not'.
