Maru/Blue Creates Healthcare Division
Respondent access specialist Maru/Blue has launched a healthcare division, and appointed Casey Theis to lead it in the role of Vice President, Strategy & Development.
Maru/Blue, which was launched last year, provides access to 'deeply engaged, well-curated respondents' through communities Maru Voice Canada (formerly operating as the Angus Reid Forum), Maru Voice Business Canada, Springboard America, and Maru Voice UK, and Maru Voice UK Omnibus. Earlier this year, the company launched an 'Ailments Community', composed of pre-screened members across the US, Canada and the UK who suffer from a variety of medical complaints.
Theis (pictured) joins after brief spells at US-based online physician community SERMO, where he served as Business Development Director, and philanthropic market research company Opinions 4 Good, where he was Director of Client Development. Earlier, he worked for Research Now SSI (now Dynata) as Client Development Manager, Healthcare Solutions.
In his new role, Theis will be responsible for all direct and channel sales for the US, Canada and the UK. Mirjana Mihaljcic, Chief Revenue Officer, comments: 'Casey joins us with vast experience as a business development professional with years of experience in the healthcare and market research space.
