Media Researcher Telmar Acquired
In New York, holding company LiiV has acquired media insights firm Telmar, which it will combine with its existing media subsidiary, Splashlight. Terms of the deal have not been disclosed.
Founded in 1968 by Stanley Federman, Telmar uses proprietary algorithms and data science to analyze thousands of consumer and media data sets, which are used to assess target markets, audience, reach and frequency, and media performance. According to LiiV, the combination of Splashlight and Telmar will deliver creative intelligence, by gathering data about creative campaigns and providing marketers with an understanding of their audiences. LiiV says this gives researchers a non-invasive way to study how individuals live, work and play.
Benoit Lagarde (pictured), founder of LiiV, co-founder of Splashlight and now Chairman of Telmar, comments: 'We want to provide better ways of understanding people, their behavior, and what makes them thrive. We're starting with these two companies, but these are just the first connections in the rapidly evolving intersection of technology, creativity and human science, that make up the field of digital anthropology'.
