Dentsu Aegis Buys Chinese eCommerce Consultancy EBP
In China, marcoms group Dentsu Aegis Network has acquired eCommerce consultancy EBP, which helps clients with their go-to-market strategies, marketing campaigns, online store operation, user experience optimization and brand data bank solutions. Terms were not disclosed.
The firm has offices in Shanghai and Beijing, and works with brands across major Chinese shopping sites to deliver integrated marketing services. With the buy, EBP and its 82 members of staff will join Dentsu Aegis Network company iProspect, and it will be re-named 'EBP an iProspect company'. Frank Xu, founder and CEO of EBP, says the deal brings advanced eCommerce capabilities and scale to iProspect's diverse client base.
Michelle Lau, CEO, Dentsu Aegis Network China, adds: 'With its experienced management team and market expertise, EBP will bring full marketplace eCommerce capabilities, along with a broad spectrum of eCommerce store operation support. This acquisition will create many synergies and strengthen our existing relationships, opening opportunities for each of our client portfolios'.
