Quotient to Buy Location Intelligence Platform Ubimo
Digital media analytics specialist Quotient has agreed to acquire Israel-based location intelligence platform Ubimo. Terms of the deal have not been disclosed.
Ubimo, which also has offices in New York, uses AI to combine behavioral data on more than 150 million monthly active users, with proprietary geographic indexing technology. Earlier this year, the company partnered with WPP's digital OOH ad network Kinetic, to provide real-time audience data for out-of-home campaigns.
According to Quotient, Ubimo will bring technology to further strengthen its own digital media solutions, accelerate the development of its self-service platform, and meet the needs of consumer packaged goods brands and retailers. By incorporating Ubimo into its existing media platform, and merging it with its own shopper data, Quotient says it expects to improve campaign performance for customers.
CEO and Chairman Steven Boal (pictured) says the deal 'will position Quotient for even stronger performance in the CPG and retail industries we serve', adding: 'We believe the Ubimo platform will help us accelerate product development of a Quotient self-service platform, one of our strategic objectives'.
