Appinio Re-launches App and Plans Global Expansion
Hamburg, Germany-based market research platform Appinio has re-launched its consumer panel app, and is preparing to roll it out globally.
The app has in-built gamification elements and users can answer short, multiple-choice questions, compare their opinions with those of others, and also ask questions of the community. Those who are particularly active receive awards. The app is currently available in all English-speaking countries and the DACH countries (Germany, Austria and Switzerland), where the firm says it generates more than one million opinions per day.
According to the company, the relaunch paves the way for the global rollout of the app and for the expansion of its B2B business into other markets. Its focus will be on acquiring more users in the UK and expansion to other European countries as well as the US.
Jonathan Kurfess (pictured), founder and CEO, comments: 'With our fifth birthday, we have outgrown our start-up shoes. With the app relaunch, we have now laid the foundation for building the world's largest consumer panel. Our focus is now on expanding our app into other countries'.
