Siren Secures $10m Expansion Fund
Irish-owned business intelligence platform Siren has raised $10m in a Series A round of financing, which it will use to further develop its proposition and expand into new markets.
Galway-based Siren, which also has offices in Dublin, Bordeaux, Cambridge, Trento and Philadelphia, has developed a platform combining search, business intelligence, big data, link analysis and knowledge representation.
The firm's latest round of investment was led by Atlantic Bridge, with participation from DVI Equity Partners, Frontline Ventures and Enterprise Ireland, adding to the $4m seed funding which Siren raised last year. As part of the DVI investment, Managing Partner Bob Griffin joins the Siren Board of Directors.
John Randles, CEO of Siren, comments: 'The demand for investigative intelligence and large-scale interconnected data analysis is constantly accelerating. Our platform uniquely enables this in real-time at a scale that companies and government organizations require. In this sector it is critical to not only raise funds, but also to have the right wealth of experience. For this reason, we're delighted to have Bob Griffin join the Board'.
