Arrivalist Launches Intell Platform for Airports
In the US, travel sector location intelligence platform Arrivalist has launched a solution called Departurist, to help airports gain a better understanding of their customers, how they compete with other airports for loyalty, and measure their share of market for specific destinations.
From its headquarters in New York City and offices in San Francisco and Toronto, Arrivalist uses multiple location data sets to provide insights on consumer behavior, competitive share, media effectiveness, and market trends. Through the firm's new Departurist solution, users can analyze location data, and determine who their passengers are, where they come from, and which airports they're choosing for specific destinations. Using the tool, users can also understand whether their catchment area and the catchment areas of their competitors overlap; and measure share gain and loss at the zip code level.
In addition, Departurist can be used to analyze where originating traffic is 'leaking' from users' catchment areas, which airports are capturing this leakage, and the most popular destinations, while understanding where they are gaining share from competitor airport leakage. The solution can also be used to measure how customers are travelling to specific destinations from specific catchment areas; and understand where inbound passengers go when they leave an airport.
Chief Revenue Officer & General Manager Arlo Laitin (pictured) comments: 'By analyzing location data, we provide airports with a more holistic understanding of who their passengers are, where they come from, and which airports they're choosing for specific destinations. This helps Airports understand overall demand and where they're gaining and losing share.'
