Growth Funds for Business Intelligence Firm EcoVadis
EcoVadis, which provides business sustainability ratings and intelligence for global supply chains, has received a c.$200m investment from private equity provider CVC Growth Partners - the former co-owner of Formula 1.
Headquartered in Paris and with new offices opened last year in Tokyo, San Francisco and Melbourne, EcoVadis provides sustainability scorecards covering environmental, social and ethical risks across 198 purchasing categories and 155 countries. Clients use the company's evidence-based assessment methodology, backed by a team of CSR (corporate social responsibility) analysts, to evaluate, collaborate and improve sustainability performance.
Co-founder and co-CEO Frédéric Trinel (pictured) says the investment will be used to scale the company globally. 'The combination of global sustainability initiatives, evolving compliance regulations and corporate purpose commitments are putting a new and urgent spotlight on the supply chain - and creating an immense and growing market for our solutions. CVC's global network and reach will play a critical role in helping us scale and change the way businesses operate'.
