Nielsen has appointed David Rawlinson as Chief Executive Officer of its Global Connect business, while Linda Zukauckas will take up the position of Chief Financial Officer of the Global Media business. Both will join on February 3rd.
Connect, which includes much of the former 'Buy' segment, was created in November, when Nielsen announced plans to split into two independent publicly traded companies. The other division is Nielsen Global Media. Since then, the business has hired former IBM exec Jacqueline Woods as Chief Marketing Officer.
Rawlinson will join after more than seven years at industrial supply company Grainger, where he currently serves as President of the Global Online Business, having joined the company in 2012 as VP, Deputy General Counsel and Corporate Secretary, before moving into the positon of VP of Operations three years later. Earlier, he was VP and General Counsel, Director of Corporate Responsibility at component manufacturer ITT Inc.; worked for the White House in the Executive Office of the President for just over a year from 2008; and he was an Associate Attorney at K&L Gates and Locke Lorde. He has already served as a Nielsen Board member for the past three years.
Zukauckas will join after more than eight years at American Express, most recently serving as the firm's EVP and Deputy Chief Financial Officer. She previously spent more than a decade at digital financial services company Ally - initially as Global Head of Internal Audit, and latterly as MD Corporate Strategy. She began her career at PricewaterhouseCoopers.
Commenting on the appointments, CEO David Kenny said: 'Both David and Linda bring a wealth of relevant and valuable experience to Nielsen. Both will have a great deal of impact on the current company and will have significant roles in the new companies moving forward. We are very excited that they have agreed to join us at this dynamic time for Nielsen'.
