DBM Names New Chief Executive
In Australia, financial services insights and consulting firm DBM has appointed former National Australia Bank exec Kipling Zubevich as its new CEO. Co-founder Dhruba Gupta will continue to focus on business development and promoting the firm's DBM Atlas survey.
Founded in 1992 by Gupta and Maria Claridad, DBM offers specialist research services in the retail and b2b sectors using syndicated and bespoke programs. Its DBM Atlas survey offers data on Australian consumers' behaviour and attitudes regarding retail banking, insurance and wealth management; while its Business and Financial Services Monitor (BFSM) provides the country's major financial institutions with information about the business market. In 2018, the firm merged with insight-driven strategy consulting group Illuminera.
Zubevich (pictured) joins from National Australia Bank where he most recently served as General Manager Business Marketing, overseeing the activities of 100 in-house and agency professionals and managing multi-million dollar budgets. Earlier, he spent most of a decade as a strategy consultant, primarily at Corporate Value Associates, where he advised executives in the finance, pharmaceutical, government, manufacturing and energy sectors.
Commenting on the appointment, Chris Riquier, CEO International of holding group Illuminera, said: 'We are enthusiastic to have someone of Kipling's calibre to accelerate DBM's growth. His industry knowledge, leadership, and advisory capabilities will be critical for progressing the DBM journey'.
