'Once in a Generation Salesman' Joins MediaScience

Neuroscience-based research specialist MediaScience has appointed former Uber Eats exec Phillip Lomax as Senior Vice President of Business Development. On welcoming Lomax, CEO Duane Varan described him as a 'once in a generation salesman'.

Phillip LomaxMediaScience uses traditional, biometric and neuroscience tools to study conscious and emotional reactions to media and ads, from its labs across Chicago, New York, and Austin. In January, the firm opened a tech-focused qual division, HARK Connect, led by former Ipsos exec Elissa Moses in the role of Managing Partner.

Lomax (pictured) joins from food delivery platform Uber Eats, where he most recently served as Senior Enterprise Account Executive, tasked with establishing partnerships with restaurant franchises across the US. As an early member of Uber Eats, Lomax and his wife launched the brand in the Pacific Northwest, Sacramento, Houston, and other markets across the US. In his role as a founding member of the Enterprise team, Lomax established some of the first partnerships with brands across the US, and in the process, generated more than $130m in recurring revenue.

In his new role, Lomax is tasked with developing partnerships and leading the sales arm of the business. Duane Varan, founder and CEO, comments: 'Phillip is an exceptional individual.
