Nielsen 'Builds Out' Media Management Team
Nielsen has appointed media industry exec Sean Cohan as Chief Growth Officer and President, International; while Peter Bradbury has been promoted to the role of Chief Commercial Officer US, and Karthik Rao becomes Chief Operating Officer, Nielsen Global Media.
Cohan (pictured) has spent several decades in the media business; most recently as a senior leader at content, marketing, and venture company Wheelhouse Group. For the prior fifteen years, he worked at A+E Networks; latterly as President, International and Digital Media. In his new role, Cohan will oversee growth strategy, partnerships, corporate and business development for Nielsen's international businesses, including for the firm's measurement, Gracenote metadata, and Nielsen Sports businesses.
Bradbury has spent the past 24 years at Nielsen, in various roles across the fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) and media businesses. His most recent responsibilities included leading the company's commercial efforts across national television, radio, digital, local TV and social media, as well as Gracenote metadata, Nielsen Sports and gaming. His new role will expand his current remit to include the Nielsen's Advertiser and media agency teams, as well as media analytics. Rao has spent twenty years at Nielsen, working across business lines, geographies and industries in APAC and the US. Most recently, he was CEO of the Gracenote business, and his current remit includes product, operations, data science, and technology.
