Accenture Buys Dutch Innovation Agency VanBerlo
Global management consultancy Accenture has acquired Dutch product design and innovation agency VanBerlo. Terms of the deal have not been disclosed.
Eindhoven-based VanBerlo offers a range of solutions to support the creation process, including customer insights research, 'futurizing' and trend research, user experience design, proposition development, and co-creation. To embed creativity across an organisation, the firm also offers its 'Creative Equity Scan' methodology, which uses metrics to measure clients' innovation strengths and weaknesses categorized by four drivers of innovation. This includes fielding a digital survey to all employees, gathering insights from every department to ensure all growth opportunities are detected.
VanBerlo has a team of more than 90 professionals working from studios in Eindhoven and The Hague. As part of the deal, the team will join Accenture Industry X.0, which uses digital technologies to improve how companies design, engineer and manufacture products and services, and operate industrial facilities. Thomas Paulen (pictured), CEO of VanBerlo, comments: 'Our multidisciplinary team is passionate about creating forward-looking solutions that meet humans' needs and generate growth for clients. We are looking forward to joining Accenture Industry X.0 and driving innovation for global clients'.
