Opinium Hires Giulia Prati for NYC Launch
London-based full-service agency Opinium has officially launched its NYC office on legendary US advertising strip Madison Avenue. The firm has also appointed former Weber Shandwick Strategy Director Giulia Prati as Vice President of Research US.
Founded in 2007, Opinium offers qual and quant research and consultancy across five practice areas - brand and communications, product and service development, stakeholder, market intelligence and thought leadership. In addition, the company owns and manages panels of UK consumers, IFAs and small businesses, and runs an omnibus which interviews 2000 UK adults in each wave. At the end of last year, it launched its inaugural 100 Most Connected US Brands survey.
Discussions around the planned Manhattan launch began last year, and the NYC office is open in time to conduct polling for the 2020 US Presidential Election, having accurately predicted the 2019 UK General Election results as well as the 2016 Brexit referendum. Prati (pictured) joins after eighteen months at PR group Weber Shandwick, where she developed data-driven marketing and communication strategies for existing clients and new business pitches spanning the tech, industrial, healthcare, financial services and CPG sectors. Prior to this, she worked for Gartner's digital performance benchmarking firm L2, latterly as Director of Data Partnerships & Research Methodology, having earlier been the firm's AD, Beauty Industry Research. In her new role, she joins AD Josh Glendinning, who has transferred from the London office to New York.
Commenting on the launch, CEO James Endersby said: 'We've got a top team of experts in place in New York, and well over ten years' experience executing global insights campaigns - we are thrilled to see what the next decade holds for us and our clients'.
