New Global CEO for Acxiom
Data and marketing services company Acxiom has promoted Chad Engelgau to the role of Chief Executive Officer, based in New York. He replaces Dennis Self, who will stay on as an advisor during a transition period, before 'departing for a new venture'.
Engelgau joined the Interpublic-owned Acxiom group in 2006, and then held roles including VP, Data & Identity Product and Chief Marketing & Strategy Officer, before moving to sister agency IPG Mediabrands as Global Chief Data Strategist & Head of Client Management. Most recently, he held the same job title at Interpublic's recently formed division, Kinesso, which built on Acxiom to create data-based marketing applications focused on trust and security, campaign optimization and precision audiences. Earlier in his career, Engelgau spent nearly a decade at Dell.
Philippe Krakowsky, COO of IPG, comments: 'Over the past year, Chad and Dennis have been at the forefront of the successful integration of Acxiom into our organization, which has led to our data and tech solutions having a seat at the table with both existing and new clients across the IPG portfolio. We thank Dennis for his leadership and wish him the best going forward, and are excited that Chad is taking on this leadership role'.
