Trax Acquires Survey.com
Retail and consumer goods analytics firm Trax has acquired on-demand retail services platform Survey.com, which provides full-service research solutions, survey programming, data management and analysis, and reporting services. Terms of the deal have not been disclosed.
Launched in 1991 and based in Boston, Massachusetts, Survey.com combines mobile technology, industry knowledge and a nationwide team of 700,000 field representatives. The latter can be sent to stores to gather retail intelligence, data and analytics; build displays; re-stock shelves; and give product demonstrations. Brands use Survey.com to bring new products to market, expand their product portfolio, and manage multiple retailers nationwide.
Following the deal, Trax will combine both companies' technologies, product offerings and services to create a merchandising system for physical retail stores. Survey.com CEO and founder Panos Bethanis (pictured) comments: 'We are thrilled to join Trax, a company we all know is passionate about empowering brands and retailers to win at the shelf. Survey.com will further strengthen and advance Trax's comprehensive portfolio of solutions through our unique retail intelligence platform, which prescribes data-driven retail strategies for CPG brands and provides an on-demand workforce to execute in-store micro services'.
