Ex-Comscore Leaders Join eCommerce Analyst Profitero
Former Comscore CEO Bryan Wiener and President Sarah Hofstetter have both joined eCommerce analytics platform Profitero with the same job titles, while Sandor Palfy, former CTO of LogMeIn, has joined as CTO. The firm has also raised $20m in a Series B round of investment.
Brands use Profitero's proprietary technology to optimize their product, placement, price and promotions across 8,000 retailer sites and 50 countries, while also uncovering competitor behavior. CEO Vol Pigrukh, who co-founded the company in 2010, is stepping down from leadership as the new team comes on board.
Wiener joins after lasting less than a year as CEO of cross-platform audience and advertising measurement firm Comscore, during which time he recruited former colleague Hofstetter as President. The pair resigned a year ago, citing 'irreconcilable differences over how to execute the company's strategy'. Before Comscore, Wiener served as Executive Chairman of data-driven ad agency 360i (now owned by Dentsu), having previously been the company's CEO. Before this he was Chairman of social media content optimization and analytics software company Expion. Hofstetter joined Comscore after serving as CEO and Chairwoman of 360i, prior to which she founded full-service comms firm Kayak Communications.
For the past three months, Wiener, Hofstetter and Palfy have been serving as special advisors to Profitero's Board. They join as Profitero closes the $20m investment round, led by Scaleworks with participation from Conviction Capital. Noel Ruane, Profitero's Chairman, comments: 'I've had the pleasure of working with Bryan, Sarah and Sandor over the last three months and their positive impact is already being felt across the organization. Their highly relevant expertise and leadership experience, combined with the significant capital commitment led by Scaleworks, is a perfect one-two punch to exploit the unrivalled capabilities and potential of the Profitero platform'.
