New Funds for Recommendation Data Firm Hypersonix
AI-driven analytics firm Hypersonix has raised $11.5m in a Series A round of funding, for use in expansion and for deployment of its platform to a number of consumer sectors.
Founded by former SAP exec Prem Kiran (pictured), Hypersonix offers a cloud-based, self-service analytics solution that offers recommendations 'in the moment'. The platform uses existing data sources alongside purpose-built engines that understand pricing, churn, and consumer behavior patterns, while linking with external data such as weather and local events.
New funding has been led by Intel Capital, with participation from existing investors, bringing the total raised to date to more than $15m. With the new investment, Hypersonix will expand further into a number of new sectors including retail, restaurants, hospitality, eCommerce, consumer-packaged goods (CPG), and manufacturing. Vijay Reddy, Investment Director at Intel Capital, will be joining the Hypersonix Board of directors.
The firm, which is based in San Jose, with additional offices in Sacramento, California and Bangalore, India, is online at www.hypersonix.ai .
