Market Research Society of India Names Deputy DG
The Market Research Society of India (MRSI) has appointed long-time industry exec Mitali Chowhan as Deputy Director General in its Secretariat team.
Established in 1988, MRSI is a not-for-profit autonomous body, committed to promoting market research in India, and partnering with ESOMAR to provide a platform through which to communicate the work being done by the sector across the subcontinent. Last year, the association gave the Indian MR industry got its 'first ever' awards for excellence, the MRSI Golden Key Awards.
Chowhan (pictured) has wide-ranging experience in the sector, including serving as Global Head of Customer Experience at video, broadband and communication company Liberty Global in Amsterdam. She began her career at IMRB, before joining TNS as General Manager, Head of the Qualitative Division; and then taking senior roles such as Director Strategic Planning at Rediffusion DY&R; Head of Brand and Consumer Insight at Vodafone Group in London; and more recently, Tele2 in Stockholm, where she served as Consumer Insights Director with responsibility for eleven countries. Earlier, she headed Business Intelligence at Vodafone India; and was Mumbai branch Head at TNS NFO.
