cloudHQ Launches Free Polls and Surveys for Gmail
San Francisco-based email management company cloudHQ has launched a product allowing users of Gmail to embed a poll or a survey directly into an email message.
Delivered as a Google Chrome extension, Gmail Free Online Polls & Surveys enables users to compose a poll containing several questions, define the ends of the scale for responses, select an option to enable respondents to add more detailed feedback, customize the formatting, and then add the poll to the body of an email. When a recipient takes a survey, they are directed to a page where they can enter their email address, confirm their response and make comments. Users can only submit their answer once, to prevent repeat responses. Online poll and survey responses can then be automatically exported to a Google spreadsheet.
CEO Senad Dizdar (pictured) comments: 'We noticed a need for a simple and engaging tool to collect customer feedback. When you communicate with your customers, you want them engaged: you want them clicking on your links and multimedia. That's why we created this simple way to embed free online polls and surveys; and when we did, we noticed a 32% uptick in response rates.
