Former Nielsen Exec Zagorski is New DoubleVerify CEO
In New York, digital media measurement software and analytics specialist DoubleVerify (DV) has appointed former Nielsen exec Mark Zagorski as Chief Executive Officer. He will join on July 21st, and replaces Wayne Gattinella who left in March to become CEO of R&D start-up DeBogy Molecular.
Acquired by private equity firm Providence Equity Partners in 2017, DV offers MRC-accredited software that verifies the quality and effectiveness of digital ads. Its DV Authentic Impression solution provides clients with a single KPI to ensure each ad impression is viewable, fraud-free and meets brand safety requirements; and the firm also offers a suite of media authentication services called IQ Advanced Solutions, to increase the transparency and performance of video and display advertising across mobile and desktop platforms.
Zagorski (pictured) joins from video ad tech and targeting company Telaria (previously known as Tremor Video), where he has served as CEO for the past three years, and helped lead the merger with ad exchange Rubicon Project. Prior to this he was CEO of audience targeting specialist eXelate, leading the sale of the company to Nielsen, after which he launched and led Nielsen's Marketing Cloud Division.
In his new role, Zagorski will be responsible for managing and growing DV's worldwide operations, which include more than 550 employees in eighteen offices globally. Laura Desmond, DV's interim CEO and Lead Director, comments: 'Mark's wealth of leadership experience in the digital marketing space makes him an ideal fit to lead DV, and we are thrilled to welcome an executive of his caliber to the team. He is a strong cultural fit and has a proven track record of building and growing businesses globally. We are confident he will continue to drive DV's considerable momentum in the years ahead'.
