Kroger Man Yael Cosset Named 84.51 CEO
In the US, grocery retail giant The Kroger Co has moved SVP, Chief Information Officer (CIO) Yael Cosset back to its data analytics subsidiary 84.51°, where he will serve as Chief Executive Officer and SVP of Alternative Business. He will continue to lead Kroger Technology & Digital.
Formed in 2015 from the assets of dunnhumbyUSA, the joint venture between retail analytics pioneer dunnhumby and Kroger, 84.51° brings together customer data, predictive analytics and marketing strategy to drive sales growth and customer loyalty for Kroger and more than 300 CPG companies. Cosset (pictured) joined Kroger in 2017, having previously served as Chief Commercial Officer and CIO of 84.51°. Before this, he spent more than five years at dunnhumby, latterly as Global CIO, alongside his role as CEO of its price modeling and customer insight subsidiary KSS Retail.
From August 1st, Cosset will assume responsibility for the group's alternative profit business portfolio and for 84.51°. He replaces Stuart Aitken, who has been named SVP and Chief Merchant at Kroger, following the retirement of Joe Grieshaber after 37 years with the company.
