API Launch and EVP Appointment for Canvs

New York-based emotion and behavior insights specialist Canvs AI has made its full range of solutions available for integration into other applications via an API; and has appointed Erinn Taylor, formerly of Dynata, CriticalMix and FocusVision, as EVP, Product & Platform.

Canvs uses a patented AI and machine learning platform to analyse 'one trillion expressions and more than 10 billion conversations' and extract insight from text on social media, marketing campaigns and customer surveys. The launch of the APIs is supported by the firm's customer support team which will help firms integrate the solutions smoothly, allowing them to send datasets with open-ended text and filters for analysis; pull detailed or macro-level analysis of any Canvs product to which the client is subscribed ,perform emotional and semantic analysis of custom, short form text; and view detailed TV affinities of any custom Twitter audience.

New arrival Taylor (pictured) is charged with the direction and vision of the Canvs platform's expansion. He worked most recently as SVP, Product Development at Dynata, joining eighteen months ago when the firm acquired his previous employer, Critical Mix, where he was Chief Product Officer. Earlier he spent a dozen years at MR software firm Decipher, then eighteen months at FocusVision when it acquired Decipher in January 2015.

He joins the Canvs leadership team, which includes Feldman, CTO George Kontos and Chief Data Scientist Dr. Sam K. Hui, PhD.
