Maru/Matchbox Launches Tech Advisory Consumer Panel
Canada-based communities specialist Maru/Matchbox has launched a consumer panel called the Technology Advisory Council, developed to help clients understand how 'tech-savvy' consumers feel, behave and think towards new trends, concepts and innovation.
The group and its operating companies - Maru/Matchbox, Maru/Blue and Maru/HUB - combine expertise in System 1 thinking (fast, instinctive and emotional) and System 2 (slower, more deliberative and more logical), in order to deliver a 'holistic understanding' of consumer decision-making. The new panel is managed by the Maru/Matchbox dedicated technology advisory analyst team.
Andrew Hawn (pictured), MD of Technology Research, explains: 'We're already using the Technology Advisory Council to help clients unearth technology trends and emerging human behavior as the Covid crisis evolves. We're seeing an overwhelming response from the panel's 1,500 members; our studies so far have averaged a +55% response rate, something unheard of in many consumer panels. It's proof that this audience is eager to explore new ideas, challenge innovations, and explore new technologies coming from technology, media and lifestyle brands'.
