InfoSum Raises Funds, Names Lesser Exec Chair
London-based identity infrastructure provider InfoSum has raised $15.1m in a Series A round of funding, which it will use for expansion across North America and Europe. The firm has also named Brian Lesser, the founder of analytics business Xandr, as its new Executive Chairman.
InfoSum's infrastructure enables companies to collaborate across first and second-party data sets, helping them create a single system of customer identity without ever moving data between parties. The firm recently partnered with broadcaster ITV, to give advertisers access to 30 million ITV Hub users.
Lesser (pictured) who joined the firm's Board in April, will now take an active role at InfoSum, establishing the company globally - including including 'significant investment' in North America. As well as founding and serving as CEO of Xandr, he was previously North American CEO of GroupM, and Global CEO and founding CEO of WPP's audience profiling and targeting division Xaxis.
New funding has been led by venture capital firms Upfront Ventures and IA Ventures, with participation from Ascential, Akamai, Experian, ITV, and AT&T's Xandr. CEO and founder Nick Halstead comments: 'This investment is a testament to the success InfoSum is experiencing and its potential for rapid growth across Europe and North America. I'm very pleased to welcome Brian in his new role. He brings invaluable knowledge and experience to our leadership team as we increase our presence in North America'.
