Seed Funds for Cannabis Analytics Firm Happy Cabbage
San Francisco-based cannabis data and marketing platform Happy Cabbage Analytics has closed a $1.5m seed funding round, which it will use to expand its team, invest in partnerships, and develop products and integrations.
The firm was launched last year, and helps cannabis retailers and brands use their first party data both to target lost customers and to automate business decisions. The platform sorts retailer data to understand customer preferences and behavior, enabling businesses to deliver hyper-targeted marketing campaigns while optimizing sales and performance. Products feature analytics capabilities, without the need for an in-house data analytics team.
Funding was led by early-stage investment firm Delta Emerald Ventures, with co-investments from cannabis-focused technology investor Silverleaf Venture Partners, and private equity firms Yaax Capital and West Creek Investments. Happy Cabbage CEO Andrew Watson (pictured) comments: 'We see our new investor partners as a key element to strengthening our trajectory, aligning in visions, values, and strategic understanding of the cannabis market. We are excited to scale our business further, building out a suite of data-rich tooling that will enable our customers to grow sales and improve their cannabis consumers' experience with the click of a button'.
