Dataloop Raises $16m to Expand in US and Europe

Tel Aviv, Israel-based Dataloop, which helps business manage the entire data life cycle for their AI projects, has raised $16m, comprising $11m in a Series A round and $5m in a previously unreported seed round. The new money will be used to grow the firm's presence in the US and Europe.

Eran ShlomoFounded in 2017, Dataloop's data management and annotation platform helps organizations streamline the process for preparing and annotating their visual data for machine learning. The platform, which generates datasets from raw visual data, includes a data management environment, annotation tool with automatic capabilities, and data QA and debug tools.

The Series A round was led by Amiti Ventures, with participation from F2 Venture Capital, crowdfunding platform OurCrowd, NextLeap Ventures and SeedIL Ventures. Dataloop CEO Eran Shlomo (pictured) comments: 'Many organizations continue to struggle with moving their AI and ML projects into production as a result of data labeling limitations and a lack of real-time validation that can only be achieved with human input into the system. With this investment, we are committed, along with our partners, to overcoming these roadblocks and providing next generation data management tools that will transform the AI industry and meet the rising demand for innovation in global markets'.
