New MD for Empower Translate
UK-based insight industry language specialist Empower Translate has appointed Dan Peachey, long-time leader at translation firm Intonation, as Managing Director.
 Re-branded last year, Bristol-based Empower specialises in providing bespoke MR language solutions for research agencies, corporate insight departments, marketing consultancies and drug manufacturers. A year ago, the firm secured £150k to develop new technology.
Peachey (pictured) joins after twenty years at UK-based translation agency Intonation, latterly as MD, and previously as Commercial Director, responsible for day-to-day operations. He began his Intonation career as Translator Co-ordinator, after completing a BA (Hons) in Modern Languages and European Studies at the University of the West of England.
In his new role, Peachey will work alongside founder and CEO Ruth Partington and Chief Commercial Officer John Temple, to implement the company's strategy and manage its team. Partington comments: 'Empower has grown organically from a single desk in a spare bedroom to an enterprise with global presence. I am thrilled to now take the next step of handing day-to-day management to Dan, who shares our ambitions and vision for the future of insight localisation'.
