The Insights People Hires Nine in Manchester
In the UK, kids, parents, and family market intelligence provider The Insights People has appointed nine new team members, including Matt Smith as Insights Manager and Daniel McDonald as Senior Research Executive.
The Manchester-based company comprises Kids Insights, offering marketers a range of resources on the consumption and behaviour trends of 3-to-18-year-olds; and Parents Insights, a market intelligence resource for all things 'parenting, mum and baby'. Smith joins from automotive online retailer Pendragon, where he served as Digital Marketing Executive - Analytics and Insight; while McDonald previously served as Programme & Content Planner at Disney Junior, and Assistant Media Planner at the BBC.

In addition, Ekaterina (Katia) Kravchenko joins the firm's Research team after interning at the Russian Academy of Sciences, Institute for US and Canadian Studies; and Hui Huang joins as a Research Executive with a background that includes working as a Project Manager at Beijing Normal University, focussed on children aged 4 and 5, exploring their development in creativity, language, cognition, and science skills. Rachael Rogerson has been named Content & PR Manager in the Marketing team, after more than twelve years at technology in entertainment title mondo*dr, where she latterly served as the publication's Editor; and Mimi Rostron takes up the role of Head of Culture & Engagement, having most recently been People Advisor at Pets at Home. In addition, Harry Brown joins the Commercial team on a year placement from Durham University; Jake Ockerby joins the Data Science department on a year's placement from Manchester Metropolitan University; and Muhammad Umar Farrukh joins as part of the organisations KTP (Knowledge Transfer Partnership) with Manchester Metropolitan University.
