Nielsen Global Connect and Bain in CPG Partnership
Nielsen Global Connect and management consultancy Bain & Company have partnered to help clients in the consumer packaged goods industry improve capabilities across pricing, promotions, assortment optimization and customer planning.
Soon to be renamed NielsenIQ, Nielsen Global Connect will now combine its data analytics with Bain's consulting expertise, to help CPG clients understand their customers and maximize their commercial capabilities. Laure Maddens, Partner in Bain's Consumer Products practice says the partnership, in the form of a non-exclusive agreement, will allow clients to 'grow the profit pool', working jointly with retailers.
Richard Cook, COO, Intelligent Analytics Unit, Nielsen Global Connect, adds: 'This collaboration combines our granular data and proven predictive analytical models with Bain's excellence in consultancy to enable CPG companies to get ahead of the curve when it comes to their ability to draw insights from big data'.
