New Funds for Social Media Analyst Socialeads
In the US, social media content analyst Socialeads has raised $1.75m in a new round of funding, which it will use to expand its sales and marketing teams, both domestically and internationally.
Founded in 2018 by entrepreneur Larry Hitchcock (pictured) and solutions architect Matthew Salzer, Milwaukee-based Socialeads uses advanced natural language processing, personality and 'emotionality' detection, and machine learning tools to source those leads in social media networks who have reached specific lifestyle stages and financial milestones - such as buying a home, saving for college, and planning for retirement. Using AI-based character and sentiment analysis, the solution then identifies the mutual connections that can offer introductions and referrals to those leads.
New funding has been led by existing investors Northwestern Mutual and Winnebago Seed Fund, with participation from new investors Cameron Ventures, Rock River Capital, and Plug & Play Ventures, adding to the $750k seed round raised in 2018. Hitchcock comments: 'We are excited to share this part of our journey with our new investors and to see growing support from Wisconsin funds like Rock River Capital. We're also proud to be helping so many advisors grow their businesses and be of service to their clients in this especially challenging time.'
