Smartlook Raises Funds, Adds NextGen Analytics Platform
Czech Republic-based web and mobile app behavioural analytics specialist Smartlook has raised $3.6m in a Series A round of funding, to launch new products, increase sales, and grow headcount. The firm has also expanded its analytics platform, with the launch of Smartlook NextGen.
The company's solution for web sites and mobile apps records visitor activity and uses heatmaps to understand users' actions. Its NextGen solution has now been launched to meet the needs of enterprises with multiple teams handling 'enormous amounts of data'; providing an option to divide teams into admins who see the maximum amount of data, and users who will only be able to access the specific data they need. A new REST API allows users to integrate NextGen into their existing computer systems and tools; and the solution will automatically generate new heatmaps periodically.
New funding has been led by Airbridge Equity Partners, and Smartlook co-founder and CEO Petr Janosik (pictured) comments: 'This vote of confidence from the investment community is validation of our technology and the demand we're experiencing from customers and partners. We're also proud to introduce NextGen, the first-of-its-kind platform addressing market pain points so that enterprises can understand the 'why' behind specific user behavior on web sites and apps.'
