SampleChain Hires Gershner for New Revenue Role
Data quality and anti-fraud software platform SampleChain has hired long-time industry exec Matt Gershner for a new role, Chief Strategy & Revenue Officer. He is based in New York.
Founded in 2018 by former Lucid Chief of Staff Vignesh Krishnan and headquartered in New Orleans, SampleChain builds technology for tasks such as matching respondents to relevant surveys and identifying threshold prices for respondents in real time. The company also uses machine learning and rules-based technology to help identify fraudulent data sets, fraudulent respondents and bots, using millions of datapoints to analyze a fraudster's previous activity, and predict whether they are likely to commit further fraud.
Gershner (pictured) joins with more than sixteen years' research industry experience. Most recently, he served as Chief Revenue Officer at MR resource, publisher and event host GreenBook; prior to which he was Head of Sales at MR software firm Remesh. Earlier he held senior roles at online panel specialist Lightspeed GMI, and panel provider Borderless Access, and he was an early employee at e-Rewards / Research Now (now Dynata).
In his new position, Gershner is tasked with developing market strategy and overall growth for the company. CEO and founder Krishnan comments: 'We are fortunate to be able to bring on someone with Matt's experience and successes as we embark on a period of hyper growth. Matt's experience in the industry is second-to-none and we are counting on his relationships and knowledge to bring us to the next step'.
